I very strongly recommend Mailly Grand Cru. I spent about an hour consulting with a champagne expert asking them for recommendations for my son’s recent wedding. I thought I liked Veuve Cliquot but they recommended a much smoother better champagne. They explained that the “grand Maisons” are just trading on their labels and not a better tasting champagne. Try Mailly. It’s very easy to drink with no dry Sharp aftertaste and cheaper than other choices.
That closing song gives me so much joy and evokes visions of a small village enjoying La Fete de Musique on a warm summer day. I love the happy noise in the background and semi-professional sound of the band. So evocative of la belle France. Thank you Annie and those that ID’d the song.
This is wonderful Annie. I grew up following these rules but notice more and more that young people (millennials and younger) seem to casually use tu for anyone. Is that your observation or do I have it wrong?
